Luella M. White, 101, of Princeton, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh. She was born July 28, 1922 in Princeton and worked for Hansen Corporation for over 30 years. She married Roy G. White on January 4, 1943 and they were blessed with almost 50 years of marriage before his passing in 1992. Luella was a member of Wheeling United Methodist Church and later to Bethel Memorial Church. She was an avid coin and stamp collector and enjoyed fishing. She especially loved her vacations with friends and family to fish at Kentucky Lake. Luella was loved and will be missed beyond measure.
Luella is survived by her daughters, Nina Holderbaugh of Princeton and Sharon Williams (Donnie) of Fort Branch; grandchildren, Glen Foust (Cristy), Lana Raby, Michelle Thomas, Kimberly Bentley (Josh), Darrin Williams (Amy), and Devin Williams (Diane); 12 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Sam Stewart and Betty Jones.
Along with her husband, Roy, she was also preceded in death by her parents, John Louis Stewart and Delta Pearl (Martin) Stewart; son-in-law, Robert “Butch” Holderbaugh; and several siblings.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton officiated by Pastor Kevin Wilson. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Mt. Olympus. Visiting hours will be held from 4 until 7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
